LIGHTHOUSE FURNITURE PROJECT
We are a Christian based not for profit Social Enterprise and a Registered Charity.
Our mission is to provide good quality pre-loved furniture, household items, electrical goods, computers and household items at reasonable prices to support our charitable aims.
We operate a referral system via our partners which provides significant discounts to those in most need. The scheme is managed by a small team of staff and we rely on the support of volunteers from the community.

Reuse-iT +
Need a PC? Call us today!
Part of the Lighthouse Furniture Project – a registered charity, Reuse-iT Plus is a computer refurbishment and recycling initiative aimed at supplying re-furbished PCs to charities, community groups, volunteer organisations, educational establishments and the service users of these groups. We are a Microsoft Registered Refurbisher.
Computers are donated to us by companies, private individuals and educational institutions from which all data is securely erased. We then load the machine with a new copy of Windows 7 Professional, Microsoft Office 2007 Home and Student suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, One Note) and other useful programs before offering them for sale.
Prices start at as little as £60 for a complete machine, including screen, keyboard, mouse, all leads, and the software described above. The retail cost of the software alone is approximately £200
We also offer additional services such as IT Support and Computer Clinics to provide an all-round technology service to the VCO sector as well as the business community and general public.
You can buy one or many computers. Ring Kush on 01277 222050 to discuss your requirements.
London Community Resource Network
Our mission is to inspire and enable Londoners to reduce, ReUse and recycle resources, for maximum community and environmental benefit.
At London Community Resource Network (LCRN) we pioneer community-based solutions for waste prevention, recycling and ReUse across the capital.
As the only organisation of its kind, we act as London’s leading champion catalyst and connector, helping grass-roots charities and other organisations to engage with their local communities and involve them in reducing, re-using, recycling and re-distributing resources – for maximum social, economic and environmental benefit.
Community-based resource management is all about waste: how much we create, what we do with it, and how we can make a positive out of what appears to be a negative. That’s why we often use the word “resources” instead of “waste” – because it genuinely is a resource that we can do something with.
TCL REUSE CENTRE
We supply pre-loved furniture, white goods, and household items at reasonable prices to the general public, and to those on income-based benefits at a discount.
Let’s help each other and make sure reusable items don’t go to landfill and use them to help those in need. We reuse good quality pre-loved furniture, white goods, computers and household items. Donate or buy and help us help others.

HOPEWORX
Hope work seeks to transform communities by meeting people’s needs and empowering people
Hopeworx was started as a community outreach project from a church, Christian Growth Centre Rayleigh to seek to find the needs of its community and find ways to alleviate these needs.
Initially we concentrated on emergency food packs connecting with various agencies and organisations who collect these packs on behalf of their clients. It soon became clear that there is a need within Rayleigh area of quality, affordable used furniture so the Hopeworx Reuse Centre was opened in 2012.
We have a 6,000 sq. ft warehouse that is open to the general public to come along and browse around our stock and purchase. We accept donations of furniture and appliances and can offer a free collection service. Any member of the public who has evidence that they are receiving certain benefits will be able to purchase some items at a reduced cost. We also work in partnership with other agencies and organisations to help those that find themselves in crisis and are in urgent need of furniture and appliances.
